Chapada Dos Guimaraes
 Chapada dos Guimaraes, located around 60 km from Mato Grosso's state capital Cuiaba, is the geographic center of South America. This mystical region has some fantastic scenery including waterfalls, canyons, valleys, forests, caves and archialogical sites. At over 1,000 meters Morro de Sao Geronimo is the highest point in the area and from the Mirante lookout you can get a fantastic view of the surrounding landscape. Among the region's other main attractions are the 60 meter high waterfall Veu de Noiva, the Gruta Azul (Blue Lake) and the Aroe Jari cavern where you can go for a swim. The region has some interesting rock formations, especially along the Caminho das Pedras route, including Chapeu do Sol, Cogumelo, Pedra Furada and Pedra do Jacare.
