If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? How I miss this trusty old forum. Anyway in the .5% chance someone from the old days is still around, here is my question:

I finally finished my naturalization process yesterday, applied for my RG which will come before I travel, went to the Junta Militar and will have my reservista card by travel too, cartorio eleitoral gave me something saying I can’t register yet because of the election, but that I don’t have any obligations with them. I have a trip planned in early October, even in a perfect world (i.e. no problems with printing passports as there are currently) it would be tough for me to have my Brazilian passport in time. Anyone have experience traveling without a Brazilian passport immediately after naturalization, just with the certificate/RG and your native passport. Thanks!

I hope my reply works, I had a lot of issues in Jan-March and this stopped me from further participation.

Exactly due to the current issues at PF for renewing passports, my wife could not renew her expired Brazilian passport while visiting Brazil in April.
