    Hello,

We have a lovely room to rent short/medium term in our house a stones throw from Villa Madalena Metro on a leafy quiet road right next to the park.
The room is a really lovely space, front facing, high ceiling, 1st floor room and we have it furnished nice for one person. It has strong Wi-FI reception and option for TV tuner in room if your have own TV.
The house is spacious and has a bit of character, a far cry from the sea of apartments, it has a
front garage with room for car or moto, comfortable sitting room w/ cable & widescreen TV, kitchen with everything you need, an really bright area for breakfast, plants, hammock and laundry and two bathrooms one with shower.
The area is great, very safe, relatively quiet, leafy and has a few great spots to eat and drink, pretty much all the guidebooks will tell you its the best spot in Sao Paulo, and it is.
We are a Brazilian/Irish couple, we don’t tend to party too much, good food, music and few beers/wines is the name of the game these days in the house. On the flipside we know the city really well and generally keep up with whats going on free, fun and/or interesting.
Price is R$1600 per month including all bills, drop me a line for longer/shorter stays and we can work something out. We might require a deposit if its a longer stay.
    i’m on madvila109@gmail.com or PM
    Cheers for reading,
    mick

Sweet baby Jesus, I am so glad I got out of that hell hole. $1600 for a room? To be in a cancerous tumor on the face of Mother Earth.

Well, R$1600 …in reais, not USD.
But even so, SP is certainly not the best bang for your buck (when compared to the rest of Brazil).
And neither is Brazil (when compared to the rest of South America).
I escaped the city late last year and honestly don’t miss it.

^^^What he said! In the process of escaping the city, so I can return once a month as wide-eyed campesiño and enjoy the whole thing again.
Right now, living mid-week about as downtown as Sao Paulo gets and all that entails, just to make the weekends escape all that sweeter… Big smile
