I am sorry, Sven. After I posted this topic, I looked at page 2 of old conversations and saw the post about Brazilian TV. It just didn’t seem like a country with such an interesting cinema would have such crappy television. The music on the clip sounds wonderful but the stage is extremely theatrical.
My guilty pleasure, definitely the best thing on brazilian tv. Every time i watch it i think of my sister, a dance teacher, who would be amazed by a tv show where the guests come on and join the presenter and audience in dancing.
Well, there’s 1)Pixote, 2) Carandiru, 3)Love for Sale, 4)Me, You, Them, 5) Once Upon a Time in Rio 6) The Middle of the World and of course 7) City of God. I think Brazil has a wonderful cinematic presence.
