@ Gringo.Floripa -
I am glad to have amused you.

I've always been amazed at how someone who's brand new to this forum (case in point, you Charlie, just joined day before yesterday), will come on here and spill their guts, as well as hang out all the dirty laundry of their relationship(s), even allowing us to be privy to the dysfunctional dynamics of the significant other's family.   Confused

I can only assume people like you and Squid haven't a support network of friends, much less the proper health insurance policy, or sufficient cash, to use for professional counseling.

I have no idea what your going on about!?

I believe the ever wise and astute Esprit is inferring your post is of similar vein and style as the OP's.  There's one particular forum member who likes to create multiple personas, and then have 'them' carry on a conversation with each other.  I know, hard to believe, but truth is indeed stranger than fiction.  Yet I do love your fictional tales, so keep 'em coming!  Clap

Tut Tut Gringo.Floripa, do you have to work at being this nasty or were you just born this way??

I have not hung out any dirty laundry and certainly haven't made you privy to anything personal in my relationship, though I can't deny you the chance to read into anything that I say.

I have no need for a counselling and find it rude of you to imply such a thing, but if there was a need for it our structure of national health is such that any required counselling would be provided for free of charge as is our healthcare. Insurance not necessary but for your info my health is in tip top condition thankfully.  I have no need to spew my guts out, I merely thought that Squiddie might benefit somewhat from my experience.

And as I thought he has replied with thanks for my input which for me is all I wanted, whether or not you and your rude unfriendly gang of trolls have appreciated my input is of no importance to me.

Though it's no business of yours I do actually have a large network of friends, it's what we nice people gather along the way during our life, I can only assume that if you have a network of friends they must be as twisted as you and just waiting for the chance to stab you in the back.

Thank you for enlightening me reg what Esprit wrote, I can only feel sorrow for any people who would create another persona of themselves and comically speak to said persona, I think that they would need something a little stronger the just counselling.

If you think what I have written in my earlier post is fiction, well that is just crazy, why would I waste my time? life is short enough already.  I could easily prove my story but I have no need to lower myself to your level.

Now rant over JEEZ, im only on this site for a short time as G.Floripa correctly pointed out and I've already encountered some crazed arseh*le giving me a taste of his PMS!!!
Sorry.......I thought this site was for people to advise, maybe provide some help and perhaps make friends.

I hope that Squiddie isn't one of the weirdos that G.Floripa spoke of, he seems pretty legit to me.
If you can't say anything constructive and nice why not just F.off and dance around your handbag elsewhere.

oooOuch

In my experience I came across (no pun intended ;) a beautiful Brazilian girl and 14 years down the line our relationship is better then ever.  And that crap someone was saying earlier about different classes not mixing well, what a load of bull, I grew up in a priveliged family, expensive private school, University etc etc and she is from the scummy streets of Sao Paulo.

Some poor people can be very intelligent and interesting, where so called upper class people can be as thick as pig sh*t.

We think that a good portion of our success is down to having met each other when we were both just 20 yrs old and by the age of 22 we were married.  We grew together of sorts.
The way she was raised by her Northern family to respect her husband on all accounts (he's in charge basically) works really well for me, though sometimes I joke with her that I have to send her back to her parents for "re-conditioning" :)
Obviously she isn't a brain dead robot, she has equal input to daily life but she appreciates that with my background most probably I would be the best choice for decision making but that isn't the same for all cases.

Being from a poor market family she never had a chance to get a good education so I made sure to put her through University in the UK to build her knowledge and her confidence.  I have always believed that if she can start working on a market stall at 7yrs old then with a little investment in her she can become a successful business woman or similar.
She is very thankful for me having this belief in her.

Hey, one funny thing, after 14 yrs of marriage she still doesn't want a British passport just to prove to all of the haters who said over the years that she was just a passport chaser, obviously she wasn't.

One definite thing we have in common is that both our families fu*ked us up in one way or another so we kind of just had each other, like a team. ahhhh.

We have our ups and downs like every couple, and ofcourse the expected jealousy problems but they're easy to work through, if she pis*es me off too much then I can just lock her in the cupboard!!

yep, nothing very personal in there.   Nothing that I would consider very private.  If you don't like people's stories of their relationships with Brazilian partners be they good or bad, then why not just avoid this section of the forum and stick to horses and cooking!

Still failing to realise why me and what I have written is so important to you??

You sure come across strange as someone who claims to care about this forum.  By being nasty to other members surely that wont spead any positive opinions about it.

And to think, I was excited that you may have written something worthwile.
When I go back to Brazil one day I sure hope that it's not full of people like you.

Guys, come on now, calm down. No need to get all angry at one another.

Charlie, do not mind too much what people say here, you can't control them, and over time you might learn to know them as humans with different sides to them.

As for Esprit, of course, he's the hardest one. Esprit will show off his literary style and higher moral value and spit on your head wherever he can. I am picturing him as some guy sitting in some sort of castle in Brazil, wearing a suit in 40 degree heat, lecturing everyone around him how stupid they are and possibly being quite alone in the end, or, if not that, having his group of like minded friends which are no fun to be around if you are just a normal person. But even with all that said, even Esprit has a soft spot from time to time. Stick around Charlie and learn to know the multi-facetted bunch of Brazil expats, who almost by definition have to be a little strange to put up with that country. Wink

That is a possibility, and if so, please accept my sincere apology.  There's a certain 'troll' who keeps replicating personas faster they can be banned.  Usually, I can ignore his ramblings, yet today, my tolerance level is on E.  Too much caffeine perhaps....  Wink

No possibility, Im far to tall and handsome to be a "troll" plus unless there's space for the fridge, widescreen and PS3 you'll never find me living under a bridge Smile.

Apology accepted G.Floripa, I to apologise for implying that you had PMS and danced around your handbag, or even that you use a handbag LOL.
