   Hey everyone! 
I am a 30-year old English teacher from Chicago, and I was living and working in Sao Paulo last year. I am making the move to Campinas in July, so that I'm closer to my boyfriend, but I don't know many people there. I met a lot of great people with the Internations group in Sao Paulo and was wondering if there is a meetup group for foreigners living in Campinas.

	Just look up the expat community around the American school, EAC. Your best start are the expat teachers there.

	Hi Jackie, I read that you were going to Campinas. How is it? I am a British teacher who lives in MG at the moment. I started teaching privately, but then opened my own school. My wife is very possibly going to work in campinas and I was wondering what the English business is like there. My business here is successful because of the professionals I teach - but I have never been to Campinas so I don't know. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

	Hi! Sorry for the late response! There is a lot of opportunity for English teachers here in Campinas, so I think your wife will be quite successful. There are not many native speakers either, so if she's a native speaker she can charge a higher price. I can refer her to some other people that are great resources too. I just had a baby, so I'm slowly getting back into teaching from my home, but I get requests from students all the time and would be happy to pass them along to her. I am also seriously thinking about starting up my own business possibly next year, so I'd love to hear any advice from you about that. I created a group on facebook called "Expats and English Speakers in Campinas, Brazil" that she can join if she wants to meet other foreigners here, ask questions about life in Campinas, etc. Let me know if you or your wife have any other questions. 	I live in Hortolandia which is pretty close to Campinas and I`m always going there. I`m Brazilian and I`d like to meet some native English speakers to hang out with.
