Ouch Bubbles!! Where's the love? Cry

My Dad's a Brit, does that perhaps make me acceptable?  There I was thinking that if Brasil runs out of options for me I might go to England!
I quite like Brits...the non-t**sers of course, but yes, many I like.

What's your beef with us Aussies?  Confused  (not counting those at Walkabout bars! I couldn't stand them either)

And I'd love to say differently, but I don't think you risk getting too pxssed off by Australia winning.  Failing that I'd be going for Brasil.  Definitely would prefer England over Germany or Argentina.

If I'm right in saying so Bubbles is a huge cricket fan and I think he is referring to the age old cricket feud between the UK and Aus.

I think the relationship between the UK and Aus is as healthy and strong as ever - I spent some time working in Australia and found it super place with grate people, kind of like living amongst your cousins - well that's what I felt.

If you do go to the UK I hope you are welcome as warmly as I in your home country! we could do with a few more Aussies over there to cheer up the gray sky's of London.
Good luck tomorrow! Go kick some German ass Thumbs%20Up

Thanks Tomjo Thumbs%20Up  I'll drink to all of that.
You will hear me yelling when we kick some German ass tomorrow :-)
Good luck to England too for Friday.  Today was just a blip!

Glad you felt so welcome in Aus, as it should be!
Definitely time for me to get to the UK in the not-too-distant future. Well overdue already.

And Bubbles, was Tomjo right?  The Ashes?  We'd be lost without a bit of rivalry too though wouldn't we?  Tongue

The English, Americans and the Australians are basically exactly the same people in my honest opinion. I could very well be Australian if my great great grandfather was accused & condemned of a petty crime in those antiquated times. I s'pose I could've been a yank as well if my ancestors were a bit more adventurous.

Personally I think all of the ex colonies are ace and I cheer for them in all situations unless they are playing us, the fatherland.

Best of luck to all English speaking nations.

The Argies have no chance, but maybe if they start snorting coke like their estime coach, they might have a chance, but I doubt it.

What he means PTIC is that only the "white speaking english" he roots for .

Same in Kenya.  White Brits that were born in Kenya are British passport carriers as well as Kenyans.

But the Blacks and other minorities born in Kenya, the non whites, are not welcome to have a british passport.

That is how they operate.Dead

The french do the same--kill and rob Africa and then when french speaking africans want to move to France, they are not welcome.

This is the hypocrisy and disgust of these european conquistadores....same occurs with Portugal and Spain---as for me, the sooner they disappear from the Globe the better we all are.  I am glad they are in an economic chaos.

Great minds always met with violent opposition, e.g. as when accounts get closed.

Sorry Angejh - I have no problem with Aussies....I know quite a few of them - I guess the sporting rivalry comes from them (up to 2005) beating us at cricket, rugby league, union, tennis, etc etc that it was only matter of time when they would claim a better football team....they even beat us in a friendly in 2003 3-1!!
So a final nail in the coffin would be Australia winning the World Cup....especially as we invented the game and Australia haven't taken it seriously for so long....

Mr Lizard King - there was an amphibian who prequelled your existence who regularly hijacked topics with inflammatory comments which often were opinions and not fact and ended up being chomped up by a Steel Rat - we don't want that to occur again, especially as you mention you are new to this site......!!

Getting back on topic, this is the French team that started on Friday against Uruguay:

France: Lloris, Sagna, Gallas, Abidal, Evra, Govou, Gourcuff, Toulalan, Diaby, Ribery, Anelka

I have highlighted those with African roots....and of course missed out Henry, Malouda (who were substitutes) and Viera who was a controversial omission from the squad/team.
