Hi all
I´ve been living in SP for over two years now, and despite regular football outings in ibirapuera at weekends, I´ve never got close to joining a local team!!!
After playing so regularly for so long it´s one of the things I miss most regarding UK life, and wanted to see if there are any expats out there playing for local teams, or alternatively if there would be enough interest to even form a "gringo" team and try to enter a local league..........
Please, if anyone has a constructive thoughts, comments or suggestions then let me know - would be great to hear from you! I don´t get on to gringoes.com as often as I would like to feel free to email me at iw411@hotmail.com
Thanks!

Definitely interested Woodie. I know of a few others that are desperate to show off the English style of football to these ridiculously skilful Brazilians.
I'm sending you an email right now! |

Ian, you playing at SPAC again? If so I'll be around to watch, and although the ball is completely the wrong shape, if you need a defender who does nothing but chop people down I can do that as well

Hi Ben
Yes mate we are playing at SPAC this sunday (13th). I think we already have about 17 players now so not looking for anymore at this stage. But if you are around come and watch - we should be going for a few beers after the game!
Cheers

if anyone is interested there will be an expat game of fotball at SPAC on sunday May 4th.
This follows the 3-2 loss to a local brasilian team, in what was certainly not a friendly!!! - so the idea is to have a more relaxed affair and more enjoyment this time around.........
The basis of the match is Australia vs England, but due to a lack of sufficient numbers from either country there are also some french and canadians already involved as well as a kiwi!!!!! if anyone else is interested in playing please let me know asap.
the match will be followed by a full on churasco and lots of beers so a good day out is expected!!!!
