I was in a very similar situation, and asked the Federal Police. They said of course I could use the few days I had remaining (about 9 if memory serves) on the extension. Others here have said that the extension is only "single use" i.e. if you leave the country its not valid any more, although the Federal Police I spoke to were at odds with that. What you will probably need if it gets picked up on is to have a flight with a return date within those 6 days e.g. an e-ticket printout. |

It did for a British friend of mine, but then he needed more than 6 days.
You may have a problem with this though as of late they seem to be recording passport details, at some airports at least. Personally I just stayed illegally. I needed to stay a lot longer than the entry/exit date requirements, and just opted to pay the fine when I eventually left (and went back to the UK to apply for my permanent visa, via marriage). |
