Hi, I'm new here.... I am in the US and have friends who relocated to Manaus a few months ago. I am trying to learn the best way to send packages and mail etc to them.
Thank you so much! |

Manaus should be worth a visit. One day I want to try it.
Sending packages should be just like anywhere else in Brazil. Customs is a pain in the but. Better save up and go visit with 2 suitcases of 30 kg each. Brazil is the only country where the crazy Airline baggage restrictions still don't exist. I don't know why, but take advantage of it while it lasts. |

Ditto Squiddie, plus if you send packages that are under $50 in value declared as a gift, then they are tax free. If you cheat, they will get you! Make sure and always cover the name/address in clear tape when sending, can't tell you how many times my packages arrived pre-submerged....
