Friend, this case will do one thing for you: force you to grow up. You need to change your attitude. It is likely the same attitude that has so far kept you low on life and in joblessness. You need to seriously work on yourself. This case is a challenge the universe has thrown in your path for you to emerge from as a new man. Use it!

Attitude adjustments:

1) stop "begging". Don't "beg her". Stop responding to her in rapid fire.

2) get the facts clear and straight in your mind, calm down and use your energy to sort out your assessment of the current situation and a plan. Enough people here gave you the option to stop responding and paying anything so you can save some money and breathe and calm down and collect your strength.

3) become self-responsible. Stop crying for help and take the help you are already getting and craft something from it that leads you ahead.

4) yes having a lawyer would be good, but a lawyer does not make decisions for you. You can still screw yourself up even with an expensive lawyer. You need to become expert in your own case. And, just so you realize it, you seem to think a lawyer is a shoulder to cry on about the injustices of the world. It is not. That only wastes your money.

Take very good care of yourself.

Finding Brazilian laws is not at all difficult. You know Google? Just enter the words "Codigo Civil" and "Codigo do Processo Civil" and you will get at least 3 very good resources. They are all online. As you proceed with specific questions, you also will find that appeals court decisions are all online. You learn a lot from pulling similar cases from those appeals court records.

OK, I will now take a break. Use this thread as a depository of all your findings. It will help others to help you, and helps other who find themselves in a similar situation in the future.

but this document has no dates on it other than in the begining of the sentence at the top it says....
" Os 11 dias do mes de 2011 as 16:40 horas...."
