Really? You used the F word twice in a post which was also defaming somebody, what a lousy memory you have, along with the others defending you.
If you're dumb enough to continue swearing after being warned twice then you deserve to be suspended.
Anyway, what's the big deal, obviously you're back so you can continue dispensing your famous cut and paste law quotes and give us all the benefit of your sarcastic opinions about how we should live, not to mention your moronic criticism of all things USA and ill informed other miscellaneous advice.
The fact is, your swollen ego has been severely dented, without 10K posts beside your name who are you?

Just to clear up three misconceptions here. Firstly, from memory neither of sven's posts were in reaction to a troll post, as that's taken into consideration. Secondly, ordinarily it's one warning and then a ban, unless for a major issue which is an "insta-ban". Two warnings were given to sven. Thirdly, moderation happens daily, if not more frequently.
The House Rules are there for a reason, and came in to force after there was no clarity about what constituted a ban. Also for the reasons given above, to make this a pleasant place for everyone to post. As mentioned several times before, if you see someone breaking them then it helps a lot to mark the post for attention. sven: if you can ensure you won't swear then I will reinstate your account. We do appreciate your contribution here, but please bear in mind the House Rules. |

As I said earlier, I have no idea why I was banned and what "profane" language I may have used, so I cannot make any promises. As Twirly said, simply deleting a message is not good practice. Unless I know what it was that was so offensive, i will remain suspended.
The house rules seem to be bent in many cases of harassment. Many members don't act in a comunity spirited way, but when it comes to swear words, things seem to be much harsher. Yet, what one may consider a swear word may be colloquial to others, the F word being a great example. |

sven: it was the f word in both cases. I think we all have a reasonable idea of what constitutes a swear word or not, but it's any of the more serious swear words.
I'll stress again that if anyone sees something that breaks the House Rules then it's a case of self-policing the forum and logging an abuse report. I have enabled your account. |

The F word is nothing but slang. It's the word with the most uses in the English language. It can be used as a period, to make a point and in many other ways. It is only a swear word if you tell someone to go F themselves.
What happened to the censorship function in the forum. It used to swap the F wrd with #$@& or something similar. |
