Topic: How do Expat make a living in Brazil

I lived in Argentina and met many Expat that were making a living most were hired by US companies. I am interested in how most of the Expat are making a living in Brazil. If you were not sent there by a company. I have internet business and was wondering if that could work in Brazil. Thanks for your help

expats are barely making ends neat. pay cheak to pay cheak. yea is that bad.

Keep in mind that most expats are in Brazil because of their spouses [or Brazilian child(ren)], not because of work. So the visa and work authorization is solved.
How do you plan to get at least a long term visa for Brazil ?

To answer your question I have a Brazilian Girlfriend we will be getting married. I am visiting in the November. I know that living in another country it hard to find another income. I lived in Argentina for over two years and have a US income using this business. I want to share this to help Expat. I know that most people talk about teaching English. It seem to be universal but my friend in Argentina just broke even. The cost of a taxi and the time it took to travel they made no money. Thanks for your response.

I though this might be a place were people exchanged ideas and help with their wisdom. It take courage to live in another country. I was wrong the response I have got from finrudd. Have no value just sarcastic quotes. Life is to short,I feel sorry for someone so unhappy.

C'mon, lighten up! This forum has not been a place where people exchange ideas and get help for a long long time! It's a place where frustrated people with too much time on their hands lurk to take offence at each others posts and do battle over the internet to prove small points of little value.
