Some of the churrascinhos offer their skewers rolled in farofa and that crap is usually nasty (the farofa, not the bbq.)

OP - how about a post on using avocado in vitamina? Sweet avocado was completely foreign to me now I cant get enough.

I enjoy the jaw dropping look of suprise whenever a brazilian sees me cut open a nice ripe avocado and eat it pure and natural! Don't get me wrong a vitamina can be quite tasty but i find there is quite often a huge helping of powdered milk/sugar, whatever other sweet processed powders that exist, and the avocado is more like a token gesture.

P.S. I love banana farofa

I think it's funny eating anything "out of their ordinary" in front of them to see their looks. Avocado is a good one for that. They cannot FATHOM the idea that this stuff can be eaten alone... without sugar... and god forbid... on something salty. haha

I use plain avocado instead of mayo on sandwiches. If you ever need to freak a brazilian out hard enough to stay away from you for life try doing eating that while drinking a root beer...

Stand down, I dont have any on me! I dont have a supply here, there were just plenty of brazilians in Boston to bug out. You would have thought I was doing a circus trick!

On the root beer - there are make your own kits that can be produce passable RB. Next trip home Im going to bring some RB extract to play with. I also have my eye on one of those make your own soda machines since soda is so expensive here. Anyone have one?

I know, right? I would LOVE some root beer! Though I've been trying to lay off the soda lately. It is super expensive here, especially where I live in the boonies.

OK Guys.. here`s a site that shows you how to make RB and cheeses. Very helpful in MO.

Don't ask me where to get the supplies here in Brazil

Have any of you ever made strogonoff de carne? If so, did you do the whole 'catch the pan on fire using brandy' thing? I didn't I made it today and used Worcestershire sauce aka molho ingles. Tasted the same to me.
