![]() Topic: teaching piano in SPPosted: 01 July 2012 at 19:27 |

Hello!
I am a pianist and I will be living/working in SP for a year or so. Does anyone have ideas on how I might find some part-time work teaching piano or music theory? I will not have a piano in my house, but I would be willing to teach on weekends/weekday nights. I can legally work in Brazil but am not allowed to have two jobs... Any advice on how/where to start will be greatly appreciated! |

What will be your imigration status? Are you entering on a tourist visa or what? As a tourist you are not allowed to work legally! How´s your Portugese ? As a teacher, you´d need at least some basic Portugese knowledge or how do you pretend to communicate with your potential students ? |

I will be entering on a work visa, but one of the stipulations is that I cannot hold two jobs.
I am fluent in Portuguese & English. Thanks! |

Well in that case, it would be illegal work, if you would give private piano classes besides your official job.
