Why can't Brazilians walk on the street properly or get in and out of elevators without everybody rushing in at the same time everyone else is trying to get out on the ground floor? I lose hope for this country if people can't even master these basic functions...

Because lots have:
1) parents without a decent education
2) parents with a lot of money and have been educated by a baba who had parents without a decent education.

Having that said, your best chance to find people that will wait until you get out in the lower middle class. They have a reasonable education, but not enough money to hire a baba.

I know a few young professionals who are well presented with good manners that probably have come from the lower middle class.
Their parents on the other hand are rough! and now their kids are grown up its actually them who teach the Moms and Dads more about life and its ethics than they ever could or did.

No matter what class background they come from, they all do it. In fact i've seen lower class brasileiros that possess a far higher degree of common courtesy than the higher classes. It's something that both the schools nor families teach unfortunately and yet its so simple and requires almost zero effort.

It's funny that gringoes are supposed to be living in a bubble but you should see the bubble surrounding a brasilian walking diagonally contra flow into a crowd of people at the airport terminal as if you simply do not exist - how's that for a bubble!
