Go to your nearest Delegacia of Federal Police in Minas and they will give you the list for MG state (unfortunately the list is not uniform nationwide) and they will explain you how to prove your residence (usually a declaration with witnesses is accepted as well) and how to prove that your children are economically dependent on you (again a declaration usually suffices) Edited by GGTrek - 27 June 2012 at 11:33 |

Billyboy, how did this go? How did the comprovante de residencia get sorted? I will apply for my visa basically the day after I arrive so I obviously don't have any comprovante de residencia. I was thinking about getting my in-laws to write and notarize a letter that states that I live on their address.
