In that case you should consider a Leopard II main battle tank. Excellent acceleration and maneuverability, immune to potholes and arrastoes.

I'd like to get this one starting again, I'd like to know everyone's experiences with telephone companies.

Which are good and which are the ones to stay away from?

And Sven, you said that your w910i worked fine, which provider was that?

I'd actually prefer a Volvo XC70 over a Ferrari over there in Brazil... If we just look at sheer functionality.

But one does buy an iPhone for practical reasons, which the Ferrari was a metaphor for.

Meaning, I would not walk around with an iPhone in Brazil.

^^Poor guys excuse.

@Labyras: All telcos suck in Brazil.
This due to the fact that the networks are overloaded and also legislation that forbids antennas close to schools and that the networks has never been optimized.
You will have to ask around as the signal might vary a lot from one region to another.

I'm using Nokia no fancy stuff, for me telephone is simple to make calls not to play games or using internet, means of being accessible. Bought TIM sim card when I arrived in Brazil topped it up for 20 RS and still haven't spent everthing ... looks like lots of people I called are using TIM and I've been making calls to various states in Brazil ... Called with SP card here to cell phone in recife, spent 0,25 centavos for three minutes call.

TIM seems to have reasonable prices once you are talking within Network. Outside however you get screwed.

Aren't they all like this? Oi offers a free few reais a day to use to call/text other Oi users. Annoys the hell out of me, just give me normal prices for every number, within or without their network.

that is how they make their money. Remember technology in brasil costs more money. If the government is really serious about growth of coverage and service. They need to lower the taxes on equipment.
