Labor unions going on strike with unreasonable demands that cause chaos in SP. They want to practically double their food vales and a 15% real increase in salary. How absurd. It also bothers me that bankers go on strike every year when they bargain their salaries, if it is done every year why the %#$@ can they not just figure it out before the strike. I am not anti-worker, but this metro case is absurd.

It was kind of difficult to get to work today by public transport.
Of course they want more, their bosses steal like rabbits f**k and they want their share of the cake.
It will be over soon enough.

I wish they could just let everyone in the union go, their demands are so ridiculous, they already have average salaries of over R$4.000, that is just absurd.

no, i just don't think strikes are the way to go in the public sector, that and all the metro lines should be like the 5th one and require a lot less labor, i feel nothing for a union asking for 20% raises

It was stopped here on Monday too.  It took my husband 3 1/2 hours to get to work.

And of course they want their vale alimentação raised... have you seen the prices of food lately!?!

15% isn't so bad when you look at inflation.

@andrewfroboy: Line 5 is so badly engineered and built that it is a scandal.

If people in the public sector are not allowed to strike how should they protest?

The salaries of the people striking are in the R$1.400 - R$2.200 range.

they should strike by finding new jobs, public sector already makes a good salary with a lot of stability, if they can find better elsewhere more power to them
