Especially under the circumstance that you don´t have a college or university degree. So it now depends on your sponsor to stress and proof in the application, that your professional experience is more important than the degree. Wich can be tricky if the don´t have experience with the application of work authorizations. Do you know if they have done the process before? Sucessfully ? If not, they better should higher a specialized lawyer, otherwise the chances to have the work authorization aprooved are very small. ![]() |

Encourage your sponsor to hire a third party like EMDOC to handle the work permit application. They will have a good idea on what kind of profile would be approved, and should be able to maximize your chances of obtaining a work permit.

I accepted a job offer from a Brazilian company in the beginning of May and might be in a similar situation as the OP. I've sent scans of my resume and passport to get the ball rolling. Is there anyway to view the status of this appplication on line? How will I know if I have been granted permission to work in Brazil? Is the paperwork I sent in usually enough? -Marc

To whom ???
Maybe here: http://migranteweb.mte.gov.br/migranteweb/publico/consultarProcessoInternet/consultarProcesso.seam Well, your employer will be notified about HIS application. I guess they´ll recieve some kind of letter or reciept wich you have to present when you apply for the visa. Untill then, it all depends on your employer, get in contact with him to know more about the application´s status. ![]() |

I sent the scans to my future employer. They have a company which handles things like this. I'll e-mail my future employers. Thanks.
