Gringoes.com: Best exchange Rate

   I am going to Rio and would like to change 4000 US$ into Reals, does anybody know where I could find the best best exchange rate, how much could I expect above xe.com exchange rate?

 I would appreciate that since I know some casas de cambio can  offer more than xe.com.

	The best I found was a small travel agency on Visconde de Piraja. If you're travelling west on Visconde de Piraja, go into the first shopping mall on your right after the park (after Rua Maria Quitena). It's all the way in the back of the mall. I was buying reas and the exchange rate they used was 2 to 1. I've found it to be cheaper to buy reas w/USD outside of Brasil.

	The best exchange rates IMO are the banks. Other than the international transaction fee (1-3%) they usually give fair daily market value.
