i made some japanese plum liquor this year to drink in the summer, but that's gone (vodka + rock sugar + plums, it was phenomenal).  now it's red wine season (there are some new brands i'm exploring but always syrah, tempranillo or malbec), and when it gets wicked cold it's always cachaça for us, sometimes straight up but usually with just hot water and a wedge of lemon.

You are a brave man if you would venture a pint of the black stuff poured by a brazilian!! Never trust anyone but an irishman to pour a correct pint! anybody come across fake booze in stores? I actually saw some Southern Comfort for r25 up here in one of the distributors but it looked a little pale/watered down. bottle was def old, looked like it had a few years of dust on it....

I like Bohemia, too...hoppier flavor than most Braz beers. So far I havent found any dark beers that tickle my pickle, but Petra was okay. Antarctica tastes about the same as Skol to me.

Well, I recently bought a case of johnny walker black label from Paraguay. I've had a sip and it tastes legit. Bottling looks correct too, with the exception of the plastic pourer thing (which I've been told is normal here). What are the odds of this being a (very good) fake?
