I think this is much truer of gringAs than gringOs. I've met more gringas marreid to Japanese-brazilians than morenos. In Rio, I only know one girl married to a "moreno" and he is more "hispanic" or "Mexican" looking (light/medium brown with no African features). At the same time, I know several foreign men married to moreninhas. |

Current GF is a true mulata. Mom is black as night and dad is 2nd generation from Port. My last GF was about as good an example of the stereotypical mixed girl, about a third of Indian, black and white. But I go for every type. From blond, to asian to black. This just happened more by chance.
Oh and I am a blond American. The type that doesn't know too much about his overall ancestory, just that his last names on both sides are from the British Isles. Edited by nesne2 - 11 March 2012 at 19:19 |

Well, assuming that race exists....
I'm a white, blonde-haired, blue-eyed American (English/German descent) with freckles. My husband is a dark skinned, dark eyed, dark haired man from the Amazon. He does not appear to be of African descent, rather is definitely Native American. Like everyone said, my husband has a very diverse family and this makes me even more excited to see how our son will look (we'll find out next month). |

You see, when there's a diverse mix in the genetic makeup, this kind of thing can actually happen. One sibling can have more caucasian features, and the other native-american / black features. My sister's skin is much lighter than mine and my brother's, but the facial features are all very similar. As for my cousins, they both have light skin, but one has black features, such as a narrower forefront and crisp hair, combined with light skin that tans and green eyes, and his younger brother looks completely caucasian, with a light skin that burns in the sun, blue-gray eyes, and blond curly hair. Their faces look the very similar, though (you even get confused about who is who when you look at their baby photos). Edited by Megabyte - 01 April 2012 at 00:18 |
