Hi Clinton,

Welcome to BH! This is a great city to live in. Take a look at the Gringoes messages and you will see that there is a meeing scheduled for this Friday, but at a rather out of the way for most of us destination this time. I did see that there is someone in the Pampulha area that indicated they will be attending, but don't remember who...review the correspondence. Yes, me and my fiancee are in for carpooling. I'll see you at Dalva at 19:00. My guess is the cab will be $50-60?

Room for one more - it will have to be a case of first come first serve. It is some distance so we really do want to make sure we optimize the space per vehicle -and if necessary order a taxi that can accomodate more than 4 people. If you want to taxi pool, can I advise that you advise by 16:00.

Hello all.

As Emily and Eric (and Gabriela) are moving back to the U.S., the Book Club has found a new home. I will be hosting the meetings, with the help of Ruth Saldanha, starting in January of 2010. I live near several bars, so the only night when it is easy to find parking is Monday. Please note the start time of 8:00 to allow a bit of time to prepare snacks after getting home from work, and see attached map for the location of the apartment.

A grande abracao to Emily for hosting the Book Club since July. Thank you for sharing your home and family with us once a month. Good luck.

Looking forward to having you here. The gringoes group hasn't had much going on of late, so it'll be nice to have more people to get together with. Speaking of....if anyone from the BH gringoe group is ever near savassi/functionários area and feels like grabbing a beer please let me know. I'm not working till feb, so I have more free time than I know what to do with.
