Oooh, these Mineiros are becoming  mineiros too much (stealth mode) or are becoming baianos!

I'm sorry you were unable to connect with us, but we were there. We had a green and a yellow balloon tied to the back of one chair at our table of four outside and we didn't leave until about 22:00.

I'm not sure what you mean by people matching the profile. We advertise the monthly gathering in several ways, so it's also attended by people who don't participate in this forum. Please don't give up, and don't be afraid to ask people if they are with the group. Sorry for your frustration.

Denise...

I am sorry, but I am a rookie.  I think I know what you mean by "stealth" but could you please elaborate a bit.  I want to know exactly what that means.  Mineiros are very important to me.  I am getting that cariocas would fall under this generalization too.

Can explain about the bahia connection too, but don't have to...

Mineiros are known a being quiet/discreet or reserved about their own thoughts - in the sense they seem to be gullible, when actually they're very smart.

The baiano story... I'll copy Bahiana's post... it says all...

Cool - I did not know that.... Many things come to light now.

Would it be safe to say that they are somewhat guarded?

Oh, and thanks by the way.

Really? That hoovers. I asked two people that worked there if they heard any english being spoken... I take it your balloon wasn't filled with helium.

I know what that means literally, but what does it mean?
