Anybody interested in revitalizing the monthly gringoes-meetings apart from the Book Club?
I'm new in BH and looking forward to meeting some other expats on a regular basis!

How about a crochet party?? Baahh hahaha.. just kidding. How about a lunch somewhere, like a rodizio that's good, but way cheaper than Porcão? Any suggestions?

I like bars to, but I usually do day-trips to BH. If I go to a bar, I'll start drinking and drinking and drinking and I have nowhere to stay there. I'm too tight fisted to pay for a hotel.

Hey Guys,

I have just recently moved to BH and now living in Buritis near BH shopping and was hoping to find some people living near by who is up for a few drinks!

I have noticed there is a book club and I have also looked at the 'Minas International' website, but neither of these are really my thing.

I am 24 and from the UK but have spent the last 3 years living in Australia and New Zealand. I would love to meet anyone who speaks English and is up for a night out in the area and a good old natter!!!

Head down to Savassi and you will meet plenty of gringos down there. There is an Australian guy who has a bar in Sion called Bar do john which is full of gringos. Also Cafe com letras attracts gringos (and English speakers). Buritis is a bit out of the way, make it down to Savassi and you'll get your fill of gringos.

so other than the meet ups I mentioned there isn't anything?
