HI

Welcome to the Gringo group. I don't have time for MSN, but my email is EcoTrent@al.com. Some other members of this group have MSN, I think!

Cheers, Douglas

Gents,
Yes, Frei Tuck is the best option for beer in this town; assuming you don't have budget constraints.  Falke seems to have some arrangement there (aka, they might own it).  Because you can buy it at roughly the same price as the grocery store.

I met a couple of enterprising lads there a few months ago that make "Gud Beir"  Extremely good, and cheap.  Yet they are often sold out.  They have a make shift factory in Jardim Canada.  Basically, a couple of engineers that love beer, stole the "mad dog" art from USA, and drink like fish every Saturday in their brewhouse in Jardim.  In my opinion (and I've tried EVERY beer available in this town), this is the best value in town.  I keep planning on calling them and putting in a "cut out the middleman" order, but chicken out because I don't want 10 cases at my house.  But might be great for a BBQ!

Might be what the doctor ordered for St. Pats...

Cheers,
Jase

Could we split the the cases? Your description made the beer very, very tempting and I want to have it!

Hi,

Falke doesn't own Frei Tuck. They do have a good relationship though. Frei Tuck is good but there are others (vienna and Haus Munchen).

How much is Gud charging for a case/bottle? How big are the bottles?
You can usually get Austria for around R$3.50 in your local super market. (600ml)

Also, as far as I can tell, all Guinness in Brazil is imported; cans, bottles and draft.

That sounds interesting! Tongue

Is this place "for members only" or are they open to the public as well?

Could be a nice place for a Gringoes-Meeting there !

Jas, can you find out more and post it here?

Wink

Let me know if/when you buy a case. So we´ll make a small Oktoberfest at your place!

One thing I have learned throughout the years is that there is no such thing as a small Oktoberfest... Thank God!

I am all up for it!
