Don't tell me you'd be willing to pay R$ 14,95 for a corona...

Because I like it, more.  I like the taste, I like the lime (lemon), I like the bottle, I like the memories it stirs in me, I like the whole experience...and yes, R4.95 for a Corona...no problem.  I pay more for good bubbles here too, but hey, I don't drink that much so every now and again..why not get what you want. Top clubs here charge R100 for a bottle of Smirnoff...so why not a Corona instead?  There's are market for everything in Brazil!

So again I ask, who's gonna import Corona..pretty please? Wink

So I gave up on the idea of importing wines. Too risky for me now, especially without sufficient capital, and just having divorced.

But I agree on the Corona, it would be nice to go to a club and drink Corona especially if the bar/club covered consumables in the entrance fee.

And I wish Guinness was a lot cheaper at bars.

I saw Guinness draught can for R$19 at a bar on Copa when we were in Rio - almost choked!

I miss it...I might shell out R$10 if it was on actual draught. Or a quality hefeweizen on the beach. Or a nice Belgian white with a slice of orange...

Matt

I agree with other peoples comments here. I believe that the government here doesnt encourage importation of goods, it appears to want to only encourage exports.

I knew a guy here, an american, who was very experienced with imports and exports. He never told me any of his secrets but he was good, he never imported anything here, only exported and he travelled around the world alot. I lost contact with him after a while, but i think if he could have imported here and made money he would have.

He was quite skillfull at what he did and very focused, he even won international awards whilst working in Brazil for product packaging design and quality.
I dont want to go into too much detail as it was his idea at the time.

But look into it anyway.
