Does Ramon really mean 'bye', as in good bye. We can only hope. I think we have all had enough of his repetitive drivel. You are a patient man Megabyte.

He explained his situation, what he had done and how he was treated. Megabyte did the same, and you made comments like vote him for president? Really? At least he tried to add to the conversation.

Why not sell them? Prices in RIO have been going up, if you sold them you could live like a price and have money left over.

I think most people realize how expensive Brazil is. Most go there because of a spouse and/or connection to the country.
Most people understand that the way real estate has been going up, it's creating an economic bubble. That the currency and interest rates are out of wack with the world, that something is likely to happen. However, unlike the other countries listed, Brazil has commodities, a huge and young population, and a huge manufacturing base to get it back on it's feet if it does blow up. It has pros and cons. It's probably a safer bet than most countries you listed. |

My inlaws who are well educated Brazilians rebuilt their house. Same experiences from what I can see. Same problems. Just remove the -gringo from your statement, they had the same situation.
When you pay people feeble wages in an extremely expensive country, that's what you get. They have to do that to make ends meet, and it's a vicious circle. Everyone is guarding their money, because getting money is difficult and everything is expensive. Always trying something new to earn more money. They call it social inequality. |
