![]() Topic: Is "On the Go, In the Know" the best motto?Posted: 03 August 2010 at 01:21 |
|
I think there ought to be a contest for a new motto for this site. I mean, not many of us are "on the go" anymore after we crash land here without money or jobs lined up. True, the cheap pinga keeps me on the go a bit back and forth to the toilet until I pass out, but that's about all. I can't afford much more travel beyond this. And am I "In the Know?" Well, I did learn from this site to bring along my own toilet paper with me, not to flush it, but rather to hand it to the restaurant owner upon departure to dispose of it for me. For that, I am grateful. But again, is "On the Go, In the Know" the best motto we can offer for our wonderful site? What do you all think?

I can suggest it to the owner, but I believe historically it is to cover both those who know a lot about Brazil, and are travelling through.

How about "Brazil is the land of the future. And now it is."

How do you say "On the go, in the know" in Portuguese?

"On the go, in the know" is the most ironic slogan possible for a gringo "welcome to Brazil" site in a country where most people are unable to give useful directions, or even tell you which direction is north, south, east or west.

What would you propose? "Stuck here, dont know what to do. Well, neither do we."?

How about: "Place of beauty; land of opportunity."??? ...of course, New Mexico, USA already has state saying kind of like this. "On the Go, In the Know" does describe the site, but it is is drab from an image perspective.
Respectfully suggest owner(s) at least considers revisiting this for a facelift improvement. |

Just a warning Gringoes. No, you can not change your slogan to "On the Prowl, In the Dark." I am already using that.
